Applied Mathematics student achieved a gold medal in the National Mathematics Olympiad for Students.

On April 8-13, 2024, the 30th Vietnam National Mathematics Olympiad for Students took place at Duy Tan University, Da Nang City, attracting 95 delegations from universities, institutes, and colleges in Vietnam, with the participation of 699 students.

Nguyen Phuoc Bao Thien (Nguyễn Phước Bảo Thiện), a second-year student major in Applied Mathematics (Financial Engineering and Risk Management), participated in the Student Mathematics Olympic Team of the International University, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, under the guidance and training of Prof. Pham Huu Anh Ngoc. Nguyen Phuoc Bao Thien excellently achieved the gold medal at the 30th Vietnam National Mathematics Olympiad for Students. Back to 2023, Nguyen Phuoc Bao Thien also awarded the silver medal at the 29th Vietnam National Mathematics Olympiad for Students 2023.

The National Mathematics Olympiad for college students has been organized by the Vietnam Mathematical Society since 1993. The Student Mathematics Olympiad is a beneficial playground for students passionate about Mathematics, providing them with opportunities to compete, exchange ideas, and engage in academic discussions.
